OUR LOCATION
We are located 60 miles south of New Orleans. Yes, there is something south of New Orleans. We are on a small track of land surrounded on one side by the mighty Mississippi river, and on the other side by the Gulf of Mexico. Yes, the fishing is as great as we say down here. We enjoy a rich harvest of some of the world’s finest seafood, the worlds greatest tasting Satsuma’s and also Navel Oranges. One might ask what the big attraction for coming to our parish would be. Unless you don't enjoy hooking a thirty pound red in the summer, the fine seafood this parish has to offer, the Orange Festival in the cold of December(which by the way is normally in the 60's), sinking your teeth into the delicious fruit, or the Tarpon Rodeo in July, then I guess we don't have a lot to offer. But let’s not forget the Three Crosses, a blessing that has become a community event or some say just a miracle from God.
